C’est la première fois que je copie une 4ème de couverture, mais cela me parait opportun avec ce livre, car pour moi il aura été un rendez-vous manqué. J’avais beaucoup entendu parlé de Louise Erdrich et j’étais certaine d’apprécier ce roman dont on dit tellement de bien. L’écriture est très belle, mais je ne suis pas arrivée à rentrer dans l’histoire et à être touchée par les personnages. Je ne dis pas que le livre m’a semblé mauvais, mais que cette lecture est arrivée pour moi au mauvais moment sans aucun doute. Au bout d’une semaine où chaque soir je repoussais la lecture je suis arrivée à la conclusion qu’il valait mieux abandonner en cours de route et le reprendre plus tard. Il fait parti de ces livres qui valent le coup de tenter une re lecture dans un état d’esprit différent.

je vous propose, pour vous faire une meilleure idée de ce roman, de lire la critique de Clara  ou d’écouter celle de France Inter …
