Décrit de la sorte, le thème de ce roman est loin d’être original, mais plutôt un grand classique de la littérature. C’est sans compter avec l’écriture de Catherine Guillebaud, certainement puisée dans un vécu personnel, elle nous emmène avec précision dans tous les méandres de la folie amoureuse. Quiconque a vécu une passion amoureuse se retrouvera dans ces émotions et ces sentiments puissants provoqués par ce type de relation.

La culpabilité, la réflexion sur la fidélité, la perte de contrôle de ses actes, les angoisses quotidiennes du secret, tout est décrit avec force et une grand humanité à travers ces personnages dont on comprend très vite que leur destin, comme souvent avec les coups de foudre, sera sans avenir.

A travers un récit minutieux de ces quelques mois de rencontres, elle exprime avec des phrases simples mais qui nous projettent avec précisions dans tous les émois d’une relation adultère où aucun avenir n’est envisageable et où la violence sert d’exutoire à la frustration…

Je ne suis vraiment pas fan des romans ( autobiographiques ? ) français d’habitude, mais j’ai été très touchée par ce couple pour lequel on ne peut pas faire autrement que de ressentir une très forte empathie.
